What's the prerequisite for LifeSmart Station installation?
A power outlet, and a network cable with RJ45 interface which can access Internet directly with DHCP（Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol） IP.
What does the indicator light stand for?
After LifeSmart Station is powered on, the indicator light flash quickly twice, and then flash slowly until the device has finished the startup process successfully. The indicator light will keep lid and blink ocassionally.
If the indicator light keeps blinking after a long time startup, it shows the software in the device has been reset. It needs a network cable, which can access Intenert directly, to download the software and restore it.
If the indicator light keeps being off, the device is in faulty status and you should contact support.
Can a LifeSmart Station be added into serveral accounts?
One LifeSmart Station can only be added into ONE LifeSmart account, and the others can be set to the network account of the main account, in order to control the smart device as well.
Can serveral LifeSmart Stations be added into the same LifeSmart account?
Yes, they do. Just click the plus sign in the homepage after login the account, every connected station can be added successfully.
LifeSmart Station works well in the local network, while it shows offline out of the local network. Why?
It indicates LifeSmart Station has been connected the local network, but can not access LifeSmart server in the Internet. Please check whether the local network is connected to the Internet first.
If the network is fine, it is possible that there is some issue in the local DNS. Try setting the station access LifeSmart server via IP(126.96.36.199). The steps are:
- Enter the "Local Smart Device";
- Select the found station in the list of "Existing Smart Devices";
- Open the system menu and choose "Advanced Settings";
- Select "Engineering Mode", and then "Repair Problems";
- Set "188.8.131.52" selected and submit the setting;
- Verify the Station is online or not.
How to re-add LifeSmart Station into a new account?
A: LifeSmart Station can only be added into one LifeSmart account. If it have to be added into the other account, it must be removed from the account first. After that, login to the new account and add the station according to the manual.
If the network is changed, how to configure the station?
As a matter of fact, make sure the cable to the station can connect to the Internet directly, even though the network is changed, nothing is to be configured for the station.
What's the time zone in LifeSmart Station for?
It is the base time for the smart system, making the time zone correct is important for the system time, such as schedule, notification time…
How to support new devices for LifeSmart Station?
With the software upgrade, LifeSmart Station can support more and more smart devices. The steps for the upgrade are: login the account, open the system menu, select advanced setting, upgrade smart device. It must be rebooted after the upgrade.
How is LifeSmart Station found during the installation?
"Search(Recommended)" when add LifeSmart Station is to look for the station in the same network as your Mobile, so make sure they are the same network segment
Why did I fail to add LifeSmart Station through scan bar code?
First it is maybe that the station is not connect to Internet correctly; on the other hand, some kind of mobile camera can not focus or recognize the bar code well. Try use "Search" instead.
Can I set access password for LifeSmart Station?
Yes, you can. Enter "Local Smart Device" through the system menu and select the LifeSmart Station in the list. Open the system menu and click on the icon/ID, edit and change password. The original password is "admin".
What do I do if Smart devices respond slowly?
When it happens, most of the time it is because of signal interference. You can test the signal by doing a RSSI-test. You do this by folllowing these steps:
- Press "Menu" and then "Advanvced Settings => Engineering Mode"
- "Test RSSI" and press "Refresh all"
IF the noise-value is greater than 50, it shows there is strong signal interference nearby the station, such as voltage transformer (in Adapter...), speaker, etc. Try change the position for the station, or adjust its direction to avoid it.
How can my Mobile connect to LifeSmart Station?
Mobile and LifeSmart Station communicate to each other over network. If the station is connected to Internet via the cable and has been added into a LifeSmart account, the mobile can access it via account login whereever it is.
If mobile and station is in the same network, mobile can also access the station with "Local Smart Device".
How many smart devices can a LifeSmart Station support?
According to the actual needs, many kinds of smart devices can be paired to LifeSmart Station.
The maxmunian of supporting is 500, while we suggest no more than 100 smart devices added into one station becasue of performance consideration. It should meet the smart home requirements.
How do you invite more users to their LifeSmart account?
Register a new account on a new mobile device through the LifeSmart app. Note the LifeSmartID found under the gear in the top right. Then invite new users from the main account by clicking the gear, clicking on your ID number and then "Manage My Network" to enter a new user's ID number.
