Frequently asked questions about Eliq Energidisplay
Installation & Transmitter
Does Eliq work with my electricity meter?
Eliq products will work with all electricity meters in Sweden.
My electricity meter has no flashing diode (lamp).
All electricity meters in Sweden should have a flashing diode that can be used by Eliq to read the electricity consumption, but in some cases this diode is infrared (IR) type and the light can not be seen by the naked eye. Locate your electricity meter in our list to see where the diode is located on your electricity meter.
My electricity meter has two diodes (lights) that flash, which should I choose?
You should select the diode with a text next to which says "XXXX imp / kWh" where XXXX is usually 800. 1,000 or 10,000. Search your electricity meter in our list for instructions on which one to use.
There is no or no pulse rate on my electricity meter, which is my pulse rate?
The most common is a pulse rate of 1000 or 10000 (imp / kWh) and which is usually marked next to the flashing lamp on which the transmitter is to be mounted. Do not confuse imp / kWh with imp / kVarh, that's the number that stands next to imp / kWh. Occasionally there is an electrical pulse output labeled "S0" often 500 imp / kWh and this is also not correct. If you are unsure, it is always best to search your electricity meter in our list.
How long does the transmitter battery last?
The battery lasts for about 1 year.
What happens when the battery in the transmitter begins to end?
You will get information about this on your portal. Purchase a new battery (CR2032) in good time.
How long is the transmitter's antenna available?
Approximately 10-20 meters indoors or 100 meters in the open view, but it varies depending on the thickness and material in the walls and floors.
I need a little more than 20 meters range, how do I do that?
First of all, the range is up to 100 meters in the open-air view, so in many cases the signal reaches more than 20 meters. Contact our support if you are unsure, so maybe we can offer any special solution
I need significantly longer range, how do I do?
To further extend the range, we also offer Eliq Repeater that passes the signal, increasing the range by 10-20 meters (indoors) or 100 meters (at a fixed time).
Contact us if you want information about Eliq Repeater.

With which interval does the sender send data?
Data is sent every 15 seconds. If the transmitter is subject to interference or if the range is on the limit, single messages may disappear. This does not affect the accuracy of the measured energy consumption.
Should the touch screen always be connected?
The touchscreen is meant to always be connected so that it can record and store data continuously.
What happens if my touch screen happens to have been turned off for a period? Will it have missed the consumption that occurred during the period?
This should not be a problem as long as the transmitter has been plugged in all the time. It has then logged the information while the touch screen has been turned off and updates the screen as soon as it is switched on again. Note that variations in your consumption will not be displayed in the meantime, but the amount of kWh consumed will be updated.
How do I delete old data?
For example, this feature may be needed to install Eliq in a new home. Go to "System" and select "Delete data." Then confirm the deletion of all data.
How much information is stored in the touch screen memory?
The memory stores the power consumption for up to five years. After five years, the oldest metrics begin to be rewritten. Eliq stores a value every six minutes.
Are there any restrictions on how much electricity Eliq can display and store?
The touch screen can maximally display electricity consumption of 429.5 MWh. The maximum power that can be displayed in real time is 1000 kW.
How much energy consumes the touch screen?
The Eliq Energydisplay uses 0.99 W in normal operation, which corresponds to an energy consumption of 9 kWh / year.
Can you use a regular USB cable, ie one that is not delivered from Eliq?
Yes you can.
My daily history has white fields in itself, looks like I had zero consumption during periods of the day.
Probably the display and the transmitter have lost their wireless connection at different times during the day. Try to improve reception by, for example, placing the display closer to the transmitter.
Eliq does not show the same consumption as my electricity bill. Does it mean my electricity bill is wrong?
It is very important to note that if the electricity bill is different from Eliq, it is always the electricity bill that is correct. Contact support if Eliq differs significantly from the electricity bill.
Suddenly, I get "no contact with the sender", it has worked before?
Switch the display closer to the transmitter and see if it recovers. If yes - try to find another location for the display there - closer to the sender, if no - try changing the transmitter's battery. Note that the transmitter and display can not communicate if the distance is less than about 1 meter.
My touch screen has fallen down the stairs and is broken! What do I do?
